About
Tara Calonge
For a long time through my final years of high school and university I was unsatisfied with my journey. What I was accomplishing wasn't mine. I felt like this for several reasons, my families expectations weighed heavy on me to finish the degree I didn't really love, and seeing my friends happy and graduating made me feel inadequate.
Don't get me wrong, I was happy and I found an interest in everything I did, but it wasn't fulfilling.
At that time I found love in my life, we got married, and soon after I came to realize that happy co-living doesn't come easy, it needs a lot of adjusting and work from both parties, specially when you come from different backgrounds and cultures.
I fell pregnant a couple of years after and when the Doctor told us we were having twins we were over the moon. What joy! We weren't just going to be gifted with one soft plush baby, but with two!
This is one of those moments in time when I look back and I can't help but laugh at how naive we both were!
What came after those 9 months, no one prepared us for. No sleep, foul moods, and a level of stress we had NEVER experienced before. Wow. Not knowing what the heck was going on with these two creatures who were always crying, always hungry, and never tired, made a real indent in our relationship. I researched all types of information on breastfeeding, parenting, how to keep the romance alive...anything and everything to maintain what had joined us together, and to nurture the overall health of our babies.
This is when I can say my true journey started.
I had grown up in a family that took health very seriously as a child. But sadly, times had changed, and all the food that was being promoted in the supermarkets, restaurant, etc. was processed and high-sugar containing foods. So of course I went on to study nutrition to be able to cook healthy foods for my family.
I remember going to my midwife many many times asking questions that didn't really have to do anymore with birthing or pregnancy. I just wanted answers and it was impossible to find them. There was no association, or mothers group, or health adviser that could help me with my struggle, and the internet was full of contradictory information.
For the last few years I have been studying and preparing myself to be able to provide the support that is needed in these fragile times in a persons life. Not only to prepare families and couples that are going through difficult times, but also for those who want MORE from life and want to find PASSION and FULFILLMENT in their everyday.

Note to self.
You are not too old and its not too late.
We can work together in the privacy of my office, or I can travel to the comfort of your home, or we can have a chat in a Café, its your call.
Change is difficult. I won't deny it, it will be everyday work, changing behavioral patterns and viewing things in a different way than you are used to. But the results are oh so worth it.
